I have so many questions, where do I find the answers?

How do I register?

What if I don’t have a roommate?  How do I register individually?
Simply indicate on the registration form that you would like the registrar to find roommates for you.  The registrar will assign the number of roommates for you based on the cost that you registered for.  If, however, no roommates are available at that cost, the registrar will contact you shortly after the registration deadline of October 3, 2010 to explain your lodging options.  This may require additional payment or a refund to you depending on the lodging available. 

 

I would like to share a room with my friends. How do we register?
You have two options.  You may register as a group and pay in full using one credit card.  This option forfeits all rights to utilize the payment plan pricing.  Otherwise, you may each register individually using separate credit cards and indicate on your registration form who you would like to room with.  For more details, see below:

Registering as a group with one credit card:
One person must register for the group.  Choose a room captain that will be responsible for registering all members of your group online.  Submit one registration per room, using one credit card.  Have your roommate(s) gathered together to register online OR print off copies of the online registration forms here for each roommate to complete then enter the information once all of it is obtained.  PLEASE NOTE:  You will NOT be able to register for a lesser number of roommates than the cost specifies (i.e. you MUST register four individuals if signing up for a four to a room option).  Otherwise, you’ll each have to register individually and indicate your roommate’s names and that you’d like the registrar to find an additional roommate or two for you.  The registrar will assign the number of roommates for you based on the cost that you registered for.  If, however, no roommates are available at that cost, the registrar will contact you shortly after the registration deadline of October 3, 2010 to explain your lodging options.  This may require additional payment or a refund to you depending on the lodging available. 

Registering individually as part of a group with separate credit cards:
Simply indicate on the registration form the name(s) of the ladies that you would like to have as roommate(s).  Please indicate the correct number of names based on the cost that you registered for.  If you do not indicate the correct number of names or if the ladies indicated do not register by the registration deadline of October 3, 2010, the registrar will assign additional roommate(s) for you based on the cost that you registered for.  If, however, no roommates are available at that cost, the registrar will contact you shortly after the registration deadline to explain your lodging options.  This may require additional payment or a refund to you depending on the lodging available. 

 

When is the registration deadline?
Early bird pricing ends on August 1, 2010.  After August 1, 2010, each option goes up in cost by $15 per person.  Registration closes on October 3, 2010.  No registrations will be accepted after this date.  NO EXCEPTIONS!

 

Is there a deposit fee or are breakaway fees due all at once?
Breakaway Registration fees are due in full at the time of registration unless you are utilizing the payment plan option.  This option consists of three payments which will automatically be charged to your credit card until your registration is paid in full.  Once your registration is paid in full, you will receive confirmation of your registration. 

New this year! Payment Plan Pricing offers you the choice to make three easy payments based on the option you register for.  Payments will automatically be charged to your credit card as follows:  immediately upon registration, on September 1st, and on October 1st so that your registration will be paid in full before attending Breakaway.  Please note that payment plan pricing will NOT be available after August 1, 2010 in order to ensure that all registration funds are received by October 1, 2010. 

Please note that payment plan pricing is only available to those registering individually or as part of a group but each with a separate credit card.  Payment plan pricing is not available to those who are registering as one group on one credit card. 

Please note that ALL Breakaway registration fees are NON-refundable.

 

What if I need to cancel my registration?
Your Breakaway registration fees must be paid in full before your registration is confirmed.  All Breakaway registration fees are NON-refundable; however, they are transferable to another participant whom you determine and provide us the information for by October 3, 2010.

• LifeLINKs Group Gals
• Small Group Bible Study Buddies
• MOPS Mates
• Friends From Work
• Neighbors

• Any Woman Who Needs a “Breakaway”
• And…especially…any woman who needs to know Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior

 

What if I have a special need?
We will make every effort to accommodate your special needs.  You MUST indicate any and all special needs in the appropriate area on your online registration.  Otherwise, we cannot be responsible.  Examples of special needs may include:  wheelchair accessibility, not able to navigate stairs, sign language interpretation, etc…

 

May I bring my infant?
Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate infants, toddlers, or children at our event (including infants who are nursing).

 

What should I bring?
Comfortable and casual clothing for the duration of the weekend. Packing may include a bathing suit, gym shoes, any athletic/exercise wear depending on the activities of your choice, walking shoes, umbrella and a lawn chair. Remember to bring your Bible and a pen! A notebook will be provided with all other materials you will need for the weekend. Refrigerators are available in the rooms so bring breakfast foods, snacks, and drinks.

 

Will Shuttles be Available for Breakaway?
Unfortunately, in order to keep Breakaway fees as low as possible, we are not able to provide shuttles for everyone attending the event.  Please feel free to car-pool since there will be a need for transportation from one location to another throughout the weekend.  Some women may prefer to walk.  There is ample parking for the weekend, including extra parking further up the hill behind the Yodeler Lodge, where the Main Rhythm Sessions will be held.  Also, with the new Tamarack Resort this year, there is additional parking underground.

 

What meals are provided?
• Friday:  Dinner & Dessert Social
• Saturday:  Gourmet Boxed Lunch, and a Delicious Sit-Down Style Dinner
• Sunday:  Scrumptious Brunch Buffet

Please note that breakfast is not provided. Please bring your own.

Is free time scheduled in?
YES!  And plenty of it this year!  Activities include:

I would like to volunteer at Breakaway.  How do I go about doing so?
Many women are invited to serve before, during, and after this three day, two night event!  Please read through the volunteer positions by clicking here to learn more about how you can help at WNY Breakaway Weekend 2010 on October 22-24 at Holiday Valley in Ellicottville, NY.

 

What if I don’t attend the Chapel?  Can I still attend Breakaway?
Yes!  Ladies from all over WNY and beyond are invited to join us along with Women’s Ministry groups in the surrounding area churches. 

Women’s Ministry leaders are invited to join us for a special Leadership Networking Luncheon on Saturday, October 23rd during Breakaway hosted by Linda Penn, director of THRIVE Women’s Ministries of The Chapel at CrossPoint.  Pastor’s wives are invited to enjoy a special Ministry Wives Leadership Luncheon on the same day during Breakaway hosted by Edie Gillis, wife of senior pastor, Jerry Gillis, of The Chapel at CrossPoint.  Simply indicate your interest in attending one of these luncheons on your registration form.

 

I need financial assistance.  Are scholarships available?
Scholarships for a portion of the cost of a group of 8 will be given as funds are available to women who have a definite financial need, on a first-come, first-served basis. It is to your advantage to apply as soon as possible. To guarantee a spot at Breakaway, however, you must register online before you receive scholarship confirmation. If scholarship monies are granted to you, you will simply receive the monies in the form of a refund of your Breakaway registration fees.  To apply, click here to download a scholarship form.
